My name is Sam Lower and I founded The Paw’s Post. I started this project after attending a therapeutic wilderness  program where there was a therapy dog named Baxter. Bax would walk the property handing out love to everyone he met. There was no question that the dog brightened everyone's day. At the time I was struggling with my mental health and Baxter inspired me to accept help when times were hard and became the inspiration for the Paw’s Post. My design combines a semicolon which is a symbol for suicide awareness and a dog paw. My goal for the jewelry I make is to bring awareness to mental health issues and the role our animals play in helping us with those struggles.
